I then became the mom who wouldn’t even mark it on the calendar, so the littlest dystegulated ones wouldn’t know it was coming. I would shoot dagger eyes at any helpful person who would ask my children , “Are you excited about Christmas?” Help me
For the last few years, I’ve been trying to practice heart preparation and expectation, in the midst of of the anxiety, to let go of my expectations, to release my own fears of the season, and to anticipate with joy the presence of Jesus.
Did I mention this is a work in progress ?????
Happy to know I’m not the only one on the balance beam
