We had the opportunity to host a Korean student last weekend. We’ll call her “Inga” for the sake of privacy. The kids (Mia, especially) loved having her here. We took her to Chick-Fil-A, Hershey’s Chocolate World, Amish country, and out for crabs. I only took a couple pictures. Inga took a lot but she hasn’t emailed them to me yet.
Oh, and Merry Christmas in July!
Explanation: Mia dresses herself every morning because she enjoys it for my sanity. I am way over having my kids match. Not having to dress them wins anyday. She has very loose guidelines (e.g., I wouldn’t let her wear her 2009 Christmas dress). This is how she came out on Wednesday. I warned her she would probably be hot since it’s in the high 80’s with 90% humidity. She still opted to be Santa. And no, she never complained about being hot so she will retain her privilege to pick her own clothes.
Did she speak Korean to Ty?
Because it was an English immersion program, she was under strict instructions to speak only English. I kept trying to hint that I was curious to see if Ty still understood Korean, but she never really spoke it to him. She did let him listen to her Korean music on her MP3 player which she really enjoyed.
