One of the ways we will memorize The Classification of Living Things is to look at the chart which shows the upside down triangle listing Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species. We will sing these words starting with the note “C” and go down one note as we sing each word. As we sing, we will spread out our hands like the top corners of the triangle and bring our hands a little closer together as we say each new word in descending order. After the word Species we will clap, then start our song over again. We will begin by singing slowly and each time we repeat the song, we’ll get faster and faster and see how fast we can go! I hope this explanation makes sense.
