In addition to the specific resources for this week, we are also listening to Story of the World (SOTW) on CD, watching selected episodes of Drive Thru History, and keeping a cummulative timeline of things we learn in history. I am planning appropriate activities for Mia that are a little less complicated than last year...
Day 178
Happy Birthday to my future son-in-law.
Day 177
It was one of the those mornings. I didn’t think we’d all make it out alive let alone have a picture to tell about it. This was the calm after the storm. The kids were making land forms out of play dough.
Day 176
About half the kids and I are currently obsessed with homemade granola and vanilla Greek yogurt.
Day 174
So maybe a chocolate factory tour was less than considerate given Ty and Grace’s dietary restrictions. Redeeming factors–1) We learned a lot. 2) Homemade caramel was on the sample list which is not a banned substance. Also, don’t miss the look passing between Grace and PJ. This pretty much defines their relationship.
Day 175
Sleep in Saturdays and Wednesday Wine Book Club are the thin threads keeping my sanity in tact. We are currently reading Letters from a Skeptic.
Day 173
As a substitute tutor for our CC community, I end up teaching a little more than half of the weeks. This week’s science project was right my mechanical engineering alley–natural bridges with books.
Day 172
Cheering our Ravens onto a championship!
