So maybe a chocolate factory tour was less than considerate given Ty and Grace’s dietary restrictions. Redeeming factors–1) We learned a lot. 2) Homemade caramel was on the sample list which is not a banned substance. Also, don’t miss the look passing between Grace and PJ. This pretty much defines their relationship.

Saturday was National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. Pops was in his glory since Ice Cream for Breakfast Day also fell on his favorite holiday, Ground Hog’s Day. Life doesn’t get much better in his world. (And, no, Ty did not get chocolate syrup like this photo may suggest.)

Whatever you call it, Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) or Silent Sustained Reading (SSR), you should definitely implement it in your house. This includes you! Leave the laundry and the dishes and get some face time with a book.
