Day 72
It’s so convenient when the local children’s museum has an entire exhibit on one of your history units. It’s not so convenient when said museum has a three-story climbing structure where your child can get in on the first floor and out on the third floor. Clearly there was not a mom-engineer on that team.
Day 71
Some games are universal. Apparently, this is one where you stare at each other and the first one who laughs gets bopped on the head by the winner.
Day 69
I’ve found it’s really important to intentionally meet Ty’s sensory needs throughout the day or we all pay the price. The newest trick is to lay on him while we do our read aloud for the day.
Day 68
We now have 8 people taking Tae Kwon Do. Most Mondays mean 3 hours at the Do Jang so everyone can get to a leveled class. Dinner is usually cereal in the back room. Sometimes it’s ice cream.
Day 67
Together under one roof (or one Welcome Home sign).
Day 66
Our last day in Ethiopia was filled with goodbyes. First at her orphanage and then at her grandma’s where her cousins and neighborhood girlfriends came to wish her the best.
