Grain of Salt

It’s a good thing I love salt. Having teenagers is one thing. Having traumatized teenagers is…special. You should never take them too seriously. These pairs of quotes came from the same child’s mouth within minutes (or at most hours).

This summer is not fun like last summer. I thought we were going to do fun things like go to the beach.

I’m getting dumbness.  You are not teaching me anything.  Why don’t you make me work hard like when I first came home?

I am always stuck at home.

When can we go home? Can we go home yet?

I don’t care if I say things wrong. People know it’s my second language.

Mom! I’m not doing that.  My English isn’t good.
