Day 66

Our last day in Ethiopia was filled with goodbyes. First at her orphanage and then at her grandma’s where her cousins and neighborhood girlfriends came to wish her the best.

Day 64

Visit with the psychologist…check. Visit with the “Ethiopia’s most beautiful pediatrician”…check. Photos at TH…check. Visa interview…check. Shopping…check. Return to Embassy for fingerprinting…check. Dinner with dear friends…check. Encounter with a photographer with an amazing vision…check.

Day 8

We had the honor to say farewell for now to John’s grandma in person at her home today.

This the second time we’ll leave this country without all of our kids. It doesn’t really get easier but Grace held up like a champ! Day 6

We spent the morning at our agency’s transition house so the kids could say their final good-byes. We were also able to deliver some packages to kids and take pictures for families. Day 5

In many ways, it was a long but uneventful day visiting the kids’ orphanages which we’re finding out are really more like homes. The way they have loved our kids and continue to love the kids in their care has really amazed us. We are blessed indeed. After tasty German food and beer for dinner, […]
