It’s a family tradition that we eat Chinese food on holidays…Birthdays, Airplane Days, Christmas Eve. It’s just what we do. Monday, we were all sitting around the table celebrating my mom’s birthday. She had ordered some sushi* this time.
*In our house, this means veggies and cooked stuff wrapped in rice and seaweed.
Nana: Does anyone want sushi?
PJ and Mia: What’s that orange stuff?
Nana: Err…umm…sprinkles. Orange sprinkles.
Mia: Halloween sushi! Mom, this sushi is ready for Halloween, too!
Wish I had thought of “sprinkles!” I have two non-eaters, now that they know what sushi entails. On the other hand, more for Fred and me!
