I know this is almost 2 months over due. So goes life.
Baltimore recently celebrated the bicentennial of our victory over Britain in the Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812.
We started with a private tour of the Indonesian tall ship, Dewaruci.
We learned about the port-entry traditions (dancing on the sails), the ship’s itinerary, and how regions of Indonesia were represented in the various carvings on the ship.
Our guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
Then we headed to Ft. McHenry for some ceremonies and such.
The weather was certainly not the highlight of the day.
Nothing like singing our National Anthem basically where it was written.
Rainy days are always better with friends!
