This is the girl that blew my theory that kids-who-grow-up-with-dogs-won’t-be-afraid-of-dogs. She was deathly afraid of my childhood dog when we lived with my parents even though the dog had been there from the day Mia was born and was the most docile, lazy dog you’ll ever want to meet. Ironically, she’s now the kid who misses having a dog the most. Go figure.
