Day 2

We started the day by heading to court.  It was much less crowded than last time, and we only had to wait about 30 minutes.  Unlike last time, the kids for each of the cases (as long as they were old enough) also came to court.  The judge called in all AWAA families at the same time…all 5 of us.  After a few quick questions, we all PASSED just like that. It was almost finished before it was over and some of the couples became parents for the first time in the blink of an eye!  There was a lot of happy chatter on the way back to the transition house.

We are excited to have Tsion Grace legally join our family today. While each of the kids wants to be called an American name in America, they all wanted to keep their Amharic names legally as their first name.
