The strawberries this year have been amazing. The hotter weather lately has made them smaller but no less sweet.

We’re trying onions again this year. Last year we planted too late and too deep. This year they look much better. We’re even seeing some bulbing!

Potatoes were also anti-climatic last year. We’re giving another go this year. I think the extra sun and automatic sprinkler system are very much to their liking. I just hope there’s some potatoes under there.

These are Asian Diakon Radishes. Apparently they should have gone in around March. They don’t like hot so they’re bolting. We’ll try again in the fall.

We’ve never had much luck doing seeds in pots and then transplanting. Transplanting store bought seedlings and sowing seeds straight into the ground are more our thing. This year we planted seeds in little pots to be transplanted but started them outside. So far, so good.

I have an obssession with planting under cups and jars. Mostly so I can remember where something should be growing. For the peanuts and beans this year, they mini greenhouses were necessity. The squirrels kept eating the seeds. We remove the jars once the seedlings reach the top.

Bok Choy is a new addition this year. We’re experimenting with different ways to eat it. Grilled is by far the favorite so far.
