We are excited to announce that we have been matched with 2 unrelated children, one boy and one girl, both approximately 14 years of age. That is about all we can disclose until we pass court in Ethiopia and they are legally Corkums.
So now what?
We wait to be assigned a court date which we hear could be as early as May. While waiting, we fundraise (more on this in a later post), re-arrange our house, and send lots of care packages!
We appreciate your prayers that we will get a speedy court date but one that allows Patrick to finish up his last semester of school in Mid-May.
Congratulations to your family! This is terrific news!
Hi guys! I am so happy for you! I’m so excited for P.J., Mia and Ty to have a big brother and sister. I am praying that the rest of the process goes well and your family is blessed in the process. Love you guys!
we’ve adopted out of birth order twice now and both times older kids — age 12 china, and ages 8 and 10 ethiopia. we have also adopted two of our kids at young ages. hands down, the older ones transitioned with the greatest ease 🙂 🙂 🙂 i love seeing people adopt older children. yay you! yay God! xoxo, jan (mom to 8)
Thanks for the encouragement , Jan!
