No man’s land

I know a lot of you have been asking or wondering if we have an update about the big kids.  Most commonly asked is “when are they coming home?”  Trust me if I knew something, I would be yelling it from the rooftops.  But, alas, we are in that no man’s land called “DID NOT PASS COURT.”

We did get an email this morning that seems promising if you’re a glass half full kinda person and all too vague if you’re a glass half empty kinda person.

It goes like this…

I just checked again today and the staff is still waiting on [John’s MOWCYA letter]. We’re continuing to follow up with MOWCYA on this as we had expected it to be done by now. While you wait, rest assured that it is priority for us and that we’re actively following up and advocating for him.

[Kayla’s] case is moving forward, so she could be submitted to the embassy as early as next week or the following. We are sometimes able to get a second child’s documents faster if documents have already been submitted for another child. As timelines can vary, we never hold the first child’s paperwork in case they end up taking longer once submitted than the second child.

As soon as I know more or hear anything new, I’ll let you know.

And that’s all I have.
