One down…

…one to go.

Today was the big day…court date.  After waiting two and a half hours with dozens of other adoptive families from all over the world, we were called into the judges office.  She asked some basic questions and, voila, Kayla (as she’s chosen to be called) was ours forever!

She’s about 13, loves swimming, school, her friends and little kids.

She and Mia are already fast friends.

Unfortunately, our son did not pass court.  The judge needed some more information on his case.  We’re hoping for court approval in the next three weeks.

Please pray that court approval does not take longer than that and that both kids will be approved for travel around the same time.  Patrick and I do not want to travel separately but we also do not want either of them to wait longer than necessary to come home.

Tonight, we moved to the guest home where we will be staying for the remainder of our trip.  It’s owned by an American adoptive family and does a great job catering to families.  Can you say free massage?!?!
